Picture this... it's the year 2014, and my good friend [and co-worker] Mary and I both get diagnosed with cancer. This is about the only thing that aligns in our story. She had stomach cancer and I had ovarian cancer.

Mary was married with 3 awesome kids, and I was single with a cat.

While she did chemo first to shrink her tumor in order for her to have surgery... I had surgery first, and then did chemo.

Mary fought. She fought for herself, for her family, for her friends. 

Sometime in mid to late 2015, Mary messaged me and said we should do Relay for Life. I said sure! Did she have a team name in mind?? 

She said... FEARLESS FIGHTERS!

And that was that. We had a name, we had people that wanted to join our team... it.was.happening!

Then in early February 2016, I got a call that I should go visit Mary because things really declined for her. I went to visit and say goodbye to my friend :(

February 10th, 2016 was her last day on earth. I went to her service and have kept in touch with some of her children.

She never made it to the relay for life that she wanted to participate in. It's been 10 years, and my idea of having this shop is finally coming back around. 

There was only one name for this website that would make sense... FEARLESS FIGHTERS.

This shop is a continuation of what Mary wanted for our relay.

I miss her and it's hard to believe I've gone 10 years without my friend. May her legacy live on thru her children and this website.
